Pigeons 101
A lot of attention and care need to go into having a loft of pigeons. Fanciers just starting out should do some regional research to see what is needed in their areas. To get started, find a club in your area to help you. Visit a few different lofts before beginning to construct your own. Regional conditions matter, so be sure to consult as many fanciers and experts as you can for your area of the country.
Of course, as with any animal, pay attention to your pigeons. Always keep them well-fed and freshly watered. In fact, pigeons need the cleanest water possible, clean enough even for a human to drink.
